Medical Spa services are still considered medical services. Before a prescription for Neurotoxin, filler, etc to be written by a provider, and exam for appropriateness must be completed. This exam must be renewed annually, if a change of medical status changes or with a new service being requested.
That's one of the most common questions we hear — and it's exactly the right one to ask.
The "frozen" look comes from over-treating. At MediFresh, we don't inject to maximum. We start conservatively, assess your results at the one-week mark, and build from there. Twenty units creates a very different result than fifty. Our goal is always a refreshed, expressive version of you — not a version that looks like something was done.
Treatment is priced per unit, and most Neuromodulators start in the range of $10–$14 per unit. A typical forehead treatment may require anywhere from 12 to 36 units depending on your anatomy, muscle strength, and the result you're after.
The honest answer is: the exact cost depends on your goals, and we'll walk through that together during your consultation — no surprises.
All are neuromodulators — they work by relaxing the muscles responsible for expression lines. The core difference is duration and molecular structure.
Jeuveau is MediFresh's primary neuromodulator — it's modern, precise, and typically lasts 3–5 months. Daxxify is a longer-lasting option that can extend results up to 6 months. They all do the same thing. Injectors like each product for different reasons. We'll help you choose based on your lifestyle and how often you want to come in.
It depends on the filler type, Your metabolism and the area treated. HA fillers — like Restylane and the RHA Collection — typically last 6–18 months. Areas with more movement (lips, under eyes) tend to metabolize filler faster than areas with less.
Sculptra is different — it builds gradually over 3–6 months and results can last 2 years or more. Individual metabolism plays a role too. We'll discuss realistic timelines during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
The goal is that they won't — they'll just think you look well-rested.
We use a conservative, proportional approach. Results at two weeks read as natural because they're designed to. You still move your face, you still look like yourself. The 14-day mark is typically when everything has fully settled and you'll see the final result.
All treatments at MediFresh are performed under physician protocol with Dr. Jonathan Hodor, DO as medical director. Adverse events are rare — and we have protocols in place for every scenario.
We stock hyaluronidase on-site for filler reversal if ever needed. UPMC Harrisburg is two miles from our location. We don't cut corners on safety, and we'll never perform a treatment that carries unnecessary risk for you.
A few simple things help you get the most from your visit:
Avoid blood thinners — aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol — for 24–48 hours beforehand if possible, as these increase the chance of bruising. Arrive without heavy makeup so we can assess your skin and anatomy clearly. Eat something beforehand. Bring a list of any current medications.
That's it. We'll handle the rest.
Honestly — a little, depending on the treatment. We'd rather tell you the truth than undersell it.
Neuromodulators feel like a small pinch. Most clients barely notice. Filler uses a topical numbing agent, and most clients rate discomfort around a 2–3 out of 10. Microneedling uses a topical anesthetic and is more intense — tolerable, but more of a sensation. We'll always tell you what to expect before we begin.
Recovery varies by treatment.
Neuromodulators: no real downtime. Mild redness may last 30–60 minutes. Filler: potential bruising for 3–10 days, which can usually be covered with makeup after 24 hours. Microneedling: 48–72 hours of redness and mild sensitivity. IPL: treated pigment may darken for 5–7 days before naturally shedding — plan accordingly if you have an event coming up. We'll walk through specifics at your consultation.
Yes — and we mean that explicitly.
MediFresh uses Fitzpatrick-appropriate protocols for every skin tone. IPL requires careful assessment and is not appropriate for every skin type — we'll be upfront about that at consultation, and we will not perform any treatment that carries risk for your specific skin. Inclusivity isn't a bullet point for us; it's how we practice.
Yes. Our intake forms include pronoun fields. Bree builds every treatment plan around the client's stated goals — no assumptions, no gendered defaults.
Gender-affirming aesthetic treatments are a regular part of our practice. You'll be seen as who you are here.
HA filler (like Restylane) adds volume immediately — you see the result the same day. It's ideal for specific areas: lips, cheeks, under eyes, jawline.
Sculptra works differently. It's a biostimulator — it signals your body to produce its own collagen over 3–6 months. The result is structural, gradual, and long-lasting (2+ years). Sculptra addresses volume loss across larger areas of the face. The two are often used together for a comprehensive, natural result.
Absolutely — and male aesthetics look different by design.
Male facial anatomy is different: stronger muscles, different proportions, different goals. Common treatments for men include forehead neuromodulator, 11s (between the brows), masseter (jaw slimming or tension relief), and under-eye filler. The goal is always sharp, rested, and masculine — never softened or feminized unless that's exactly what you're looking for.
Both use your own blood — drawn in-office, processed, and reintroduced into your skin or scalp.
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is the more advanced of the two. It produces a higher concentration of growth factors held in a fibrin matrix, which releases slowly and extends the regenerative effect. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is the earlier generation of the same concept. No synthetic additives in either. Your body does the work — we just give it the right environment.
A consultation determines this — that's exactly what it's for.
Most healthy adults are good candidates for aesthetic treatments. Absolute disqualifiers include pregnancy, active skin infection, and certain autoimmune conditions. If a treatment isn't right for you, we'll tell you honestly — including recommending you wait, try something different, or address an underlying concern first. We're not in the business of treating people who shouldn't be treated.
It depends on the treatment.
Jeuveau: every 3–4 months. Daxxify: up to 6 months. Filler: 1–2 times per year depending on the area and how your body metabolizes it. Sculptra: 2–3 sessions over about 3 months, then maintenance at 18–24 months. Microneedling: typically a series of 3, then quarterly maintenance. We'll map out a realistic cadence at your consultation based on your goals and budget.
It depends on the treatment — but there are options.
HA filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if a correction is needed. It's a straightforward process. For neuromodulators, results naturally fade in 3–4 months — and if something feels uneven at two weeks, we schedule a follow-up and adjust. MediFresh does follow up check-ins for exactly this reason. We don't disappear after your appointment.
IV hydration delivers fluids, vitamins, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream — bypassing digestion for near-immediate absorption. It's a 30–60 minute in-office treatment performed with medical oversight.
Common reasons people come in: low energy, immune support, recovery after illness or travel, skin health, or general wellness maintenance. It's not a trend — it's a clinical tool, and we use it that way.

A med spa performs medical-grade treatments under physician supervision. That means injectables, energy devices, prescription-adjacent services — treatments that require clinical training, protocols, and a licensed medical director.
MediFresh operates under physician protocol with Dr. Jonathan Hodor, DO as medical director. Every treatment decision is made with that clinical oversight in place. A regular spa cannot offer what we do — and shouldn't try.
You can book online or by phone. First appointments include a consultation (20–30 minutes), a skin and goal assessment, a written treatment recommendation, and a pricing conversation.
Treatment can happen same day if you're ready — or at a follow-up if you'd like time to think. There's no pressure to book anything during your consultation. The goal of that visit is for you to leave with clarity, not obligation.
