Energy-based treatments work beneath the surface — using light and plasma energy to address concerns that topical products and injectables alone can't reach. At MediFresh, these treatments are used to improve skin tone, reduce visible sun damage, calm redness, tighten lax skin, and restore texture — without surgery and without changing the way you look.
We offer two distinct energy-based platforms, each designed for different concerns and different goals.
Stelle IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) — a broad-spectrum light device used for photofacials, pigmentation correction, redness and rosacea reduction, and overall skin tone improvement. IPL works by targeting melanin and hemoglobin beneath the skin's surface, breaking down discoloration and calming vascular redness over a series of sessions.
Plasma Pen (Fibroblast Therapy) — a precision device that delivers plasma energy to the surface of the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries that trigger the body's natural healing and collagen-rebuilding response. Plasma is used for skin tightening, resurfacing, and improving texture in areas where laxity, fine lines, or crepiness are the primary concern
IPL: After an IPL session, pigmented spots may temporarily darken before they flake off and fade over the following 3 to 7 days. Redness and flushing typically calm within 24 to 48 hours. Most clients see gradual, cumulative improvement in tone and clarity over a series of 3 to 5 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart. There is little to no social downtime with IPL.
Plasma: After a plasma treatment, you can expect small dot-like marks on the treated area that crust over and shed naturally within 5 to 10 days. The skin beneath will appear tighter, smoother, and more refined as collagen continues to rebuild over the following weeks. Full results are typically visible at 8 to 12 weeks. Plasma involves more visible downtime than IPL and is best planned around your schedule.

Every energy-based treatment starts with a skin assessment. We evaluate your skin type, your tone, your texture, and the specific concerns you want to address before recommending a treatment or a series.
At MediFresh, we take Fitzpatrick skin typing seriously — not every device or setting is appropriate for every skin tone, and we screen every client before treatment to ensure safety. IPL is appropriate for Fitzpatrick skin types I through IV. Plasma pen treatments carry additional considerations for deeper skin tones and require medical director review for Fitzpatrick V and VI.
We don't apply the same protocol to every face. We adjust energy settings, session plans, and treatment areas based on what your skin needs — and just as importantly, what it can safely tolerate.
